2010 Committees
EVENTS & PROGRAMS
This “super” committee plans and implements the year-long calendar of events. Included are
Business After Hours programs, the Employee Appreciation Day Luncheon, the Annual Meeting, Lunch and/or Breakfast meetings with specific topics and speakers.
DISTINGUISHED CITIZENS AWARDS
Our annual awards dinner recognizes many of the true heroes in our community. Each year we recognize an exceptional individual, business and organization for outstanding contributions that make our community a better place to live. This committee will choose the recipients and the program for this special event.
GOLF INVITATIONAL
Eleventh Annual! This group of volunteers chooses the format for the event secures sponsorships and prizes and plans all other details of the day as needed.
MEMBERSHIP/AMBASSADORS
A “super” committee that covers membership from developing ways to increase membership to providing outreach to both new and existing members.
Membership: As does any organization, we lose members because of retirements, moves and closures. Our volunteers work to insure that our membership base remains firm and then has steady growth.
Ambassadors:
New members: This committee welcomes new members and helps them feel comfortable with our Chamber.
Existing members: Our members are important to us and we want them to know it! The volunteers on this committee make calls to members to "touch base," establish a personal contact and maintain an ongoing dialogue.
BRICK LIFESTYLES
This committee will focus on making plans for an updated Brick Lifestyles publication.
SCHOLARSHIP
One of our community projects is awarding scholarships for continuing education. In 2009 we gave $13,500 in awards! This group supports the Educational Foundation by exploring and implementing fund-raisers. They review the scholarship applications and will select the 2010 award recipients.
